Microsclerotherapy is a great non-surgical treatment to reduce the appearance of thread veins.
This virtually painless treatment, which has been successfully performed for decades, involves the simple process of injecting a solution through a micro-needle into the protruding thread veins, causing them to gradually fade. This treatment is designed to dramatically reduce the appearance of thread veins and in some cases make them disappear completely. Compared with other treatments, Microsclerotherapy is considered to be the most effective treatment of thread veins. Dr Hugo Pin has performed this treatment at his Sunshine Coast practice numerous times with fantastic results. Don’t put up with thread veins any longer, arrange a consultation to find out how we can help you to fix your thread vein problem today.
How does microsclerotherapy work?
The process of microsclerotherapy involves a sclerosing solution being injected into the thread vein, according to the vessel size. This solution causes swelling in the vein’s wall, which injures the cells in the lining of the vein and triggers the natural healing process. If the vein is treated correctly, this healing will cause the vein to fade and disappear during the weeks following treatment. Cases differ from patient to patient, which means that some patients may require more treatments than others depending on the severity of the veins and how the body responds to the treatment. Most people will be viable candidates for microsclerotherapy, however, the best way to find if microsclerotherapy is right for you is to organise a consultation with Dr Hugo Pin, who will be able to assess your veins and determine whether the treatment is right for you.
A comfortable and virtually pain-free vein treatment.
Due to the extremely small diameter of the needle, and the gentle technique involved, this treatment is usually quite comfortable with little to no discomfort experienced during the entire treatment. Treatment should last less than an hour, whilst veins may need to undergo treatment more than once depending on their size. Typically, there is little to no downtime after the treatment and patients can return to their daily life immediately. We do suggest that you partake in some very gentle activity rather than standing or sitting for long periods of time. A follow-up appointment should be arranged to evaluate the success of the treatment and determine whether the patient would benefit from further treatment. There’s no need to hide your thread veins any longer, you can restore your confidence with this simple non-invasive treatment available at our Sunshine Coast clinic.
Cost of Microsclerotherapy
The cost per session is $440. Most patients will require at least 3 sessions. The treatment can be used to treat 1 or 2 legs depending on the severity of the case. There is no rebate from Medicare as it is purely cosmetic most of the time.
